Billings man declares himself innocent of double homicide

Billings – Godfrey Brokenrope, accused in relation to what a prosecutor called “one of the most shameless and horrible crimes” in Billings in the last decade, declared himself innocent of deliberate homicide charges in the Yellowstone County District Court on Monday, March 17, 2025.

Brokenrope, 19, appeared before the court after his arrest on Sunday after a police chase in Billings.

He is accused of the double homicide of 2023 of Kenneth Morrison, 31, and the son of Morrison, Tatee’K, in a house of North Billings.

Peace Judge David Carter accepted the recommendation of prosecutors to establish a bond at $ 500,000.

Brokenrope is scheduled to appear in court on May 22. He was assigned a public defender.

The prosecutors alleged in judicial documents that Brokenrope was one of the two people who opened fire in the house from a vehicle outside, killing Morrison.

Tatee’k was found without responding in his father’s arms and then died of compression suffocation.

Two other people have been accused in relation to crime.

Monitoring declared himself guilty of a deliberate homicide charge and a negligent homicide charge. Knowshipun declared himself innocent of two deliberate homicide positions.
