“We should take Donald Trump literally and seriously” – Toby Neal warns

It has become a cliché when talking about Donald Trump. And we could well throw it out the window now.

There may have been something really during his first term. But this time we have to take it both literally and seriously.

He is a man in a mission, saved by God to make the United States again. Or that, or those who think that he is directing a presidency of reality television have done well.

There is some evidence for that. “This is going to be a great television,” he said at the end of his horror program with Zelensky in the White House.

It depends on what you think makes a great television. The verdict of the world spectators is that it was frightening, shocking, shameful.

If we are understanding bleakly for positive aspects, Trump’s roller coaster is forcing a certain concentration of minds and has underlined Great Britain as a leading international influence, “despite Brexit.”

He is forcing Europe to advance to the dish, as people say these days.

Sir Keir Starmer is channeling his Inner Winston Churchill and the House of Commons has joined behind him and his offer to send British peace maintenance troops to Ukraine.
