‘This is the end’: Jaiden Haile charged for the final weekend with Horace Girls in State Tourney – Inforum

Horace – Throughout his career, Jaiden Haile has been calling attention to his star game for the West Fargo Horace women’s basketball team.

The 6 -foot Senior 2 years was a selection of the entire state of the first team last season. In three seasons with the Hawks, Haile has compiled 1,551 points and 1,127 rebounds in 74 games.

For Haile, she was not “someone who left the uterus with basketball”, but rather than hard work and the hours dedicated to her ship produce the success and praise that follow.

“I put a lot of work on and off the court,” said Haile about his success. “I like to say that I am a basketball student. It is not necessarily surprising, but I am definitely grateful for the opportunities that have given me. “

Jaiden Haile (35) of Horace and Jordan Christoferson (44) celebrate the victory of their team over Fargo Davies during the game of the Women’s Basketball Championship of the EAST region of the ND Division AA on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Scheels Center in the Sanford Health Athetic complex in Fargo.

Haile was appointed the senior athlete of the year of the east conference of Dakota. She leads the EDC with 499 points (23.8 ppg), 332 rebounds (15.8 RPG) and field goal percentage (57.5).

“(Haile) brings leadership,” said the Hawks chief coach Brent Hintz. “She brings experience. She brings a high energy engine. … She plays with such intensity that it is difficult for teammates not to feel that and feed on that. “

Haile signed with the Gonzaga Women’s Basketball Program on November 19. In preparation for his university career, Haile has focused on developing a more rounded game that includes sinking more skippers in addition to his physical game in the position.

Haile became the first Horace athlete to sign a school in Division I.

“She is such a strong and hard defender, and is always willing to sacrifice her body for the good of the group,” said Gonzaga chief coach Lisa Fortier, in Haile. “She is very skilled around the basket and all the way to the 3 -point line.”

Haile, together with the first year student Lakyn Donnelly and the second year student Jordan Christoferson, have created a high caliber trio that has led Horace to a general record 23-1 and 16-0 EDC Record.

The three were unanimous selections for the All-EDC team. The group combined for almost half of the Hawks points scored in 24 games this season.

Haile said having teammates who can make plays has been crucial in his success.

“I have some really talented teammates, which allows me to open,” said Haile. “I think that if there was not so much talent in my team, people could send me three, even four, girls all the time. You can’t do that, because we have some really talented shooters. “

Donnelly has scored 479 points, including 67 triples of triple, and 82 assists for the Hawks. Christafferson led Horace throughout the EDC tournament and has 329 points and 46 robberies this season.

Horace went through the EDC tournament and defeated Fargo Davies 72-38 in the championship last Saturday and won the number 1 seed outside the east region.

The Hawks open the tournament against West No. 4 Bismarck Legacy in the quarterfinals of the North Dakota AA class at 1 PM on Thursday, March 13 at Fargodome.

“We know what our advantages are, so just using those advantages and playing as well as possible.” Donnelly said.

Horace returns to the state tournament for the second consecutive year.

Haile said that the success of the program that has helped lead from its beginning three seasons is not surprising.

The low seasonal work and Hintz’s contributions to the program have been incredibly influential in the ascension of Hawks to the top of North Dakota, said Haile.

With the last weekend, Haile hopes to shine in his last minutes with a Hawks uniform.

“Last year at this time, it was not the end,” said Haile. “Now I know that this is the end. I appreciate these girls very much and I love them very much. I really want the next three days and the next three games with them. “
