A mother says she has been forced to flee her house after her “sinister” ex -boyfriend dodged the jail for threatening to kill her with a machete. Face Graham, 28, has been “living with fear” with more attacks by Wojciech Okapiec, also 28 years old, who walked free after years of subjecting her to a horrible physical and emotional abuse.

The young woman is now worried about her safety that she has hidden to protect herself and her little son. She told him to Daily record: “I am living with fear. He has avoided jail and, despite his order of non -advice, the first thing he did was go to my son’s school. Now I have fled my house with my son and I feel we had no choice.”

Face and his son currently live in a place not revealed to hundreds of miles from his family. But he has accused the courts and the justice system of “empowering” the abusers after Okapiec escaped a prison sentence. She said: “The abuse that inflicted me was evil and sinister. It is irritating that you can walk free and continue with her life despite everything that has taken me.

“The courts do not seem to understand that they are empowering criminals like him if they do not receive custody sentences. They show people who can carry out horrible levels of abuse to their partners and go home. They told me that because he declared himself guilty, he showed ‘remorse’. He was given an indulgent sentence after that.”

She has shared a series of heartbreaking photographs that show her body covered with bruises from Okapiec attacks. Other photos show a mirror that broke into an anger attack, and an abusive text where he swore repeatedly and threatened to cut his tires.

Face now hopes that sharing your terrible experience serves as a warning for other women. She continued: “He was lovely at first and gave me a false sense of security by bombing me, so there is no doubt that it is a danger to other women.

“But the reality was that as soon as I fell in love with him, he picked me up and broke my confidence. I became a shell of myself.”

Since then, his image has been shared in numerous forums throughout the United Kingdom to warn women of dangerous men, he said. A publication on Red Rose, an online database of British abusers, says: “Wojciech Okapiec is a convicted domestic abuser that has passed more than a decade by subjecting the victim to relentless abuses, but managed to escape a custody sentence. He is a dangerous man who should be behind the bars.”
