“No system can ensure that 100% of the time reaches the correct verdict, and most people accept that mistakes are made. However, they will also be understandably, and reasonably, they will assume that victims of spontaneous abortions of justice are compensated, particularly if they have spent time in custody before being lost or having their convictions.
