Senator Justin Eichorn formally accused the request of a minor

The formal charges were presented on Wednesday against Republican state senator Justin Eichorn, who was arrested in Bloomington earlier this week under suspicion of requesting a minor girl for sex.

Eichorn (R-Grand Rapids), allegedly communicated in line with a detective from the Bloomington Police Department who passed through a 17-year-old girl and agreed to meet for sex. Police arrested Eichorn on Monday night at the meeting point in Normandale Boulevard block.

Hennepin County prosecutors accused Eichorn of a prostitution charge for allegedly accepting to hire someone under 18 but over 16 years of age by sex.

Eichorn currently has a scheduled audience for Thursday afternoon in Hennepin County.
