Bill to increase jury’s compensation advances through State House

Honolulu (Hawaiinewsnow): A bill to increase the daily compensation of the jury by $ 20 per day advanced through the State Chamber on Monday.

HB395 It proposes to increase the amount paid by each jury or jury for possible for each day of real assistance in the Court.

According to the new measure, the jurors would be paid $ 50 for each day dedicated to the Court.

The Judiciary, the Office of Public Defenders and the Office of Prosecutors presented testimony in support of the bill.
