Killed Teen, another seriously injured in Garland Atroponde, according to the Police: NBC 5 Dallas-Forth Worth

A 14 -year -old girl is dead and a 16 -year -old is in the hospital with serious injuries after an accident outrage in Garland on Saturday night, according to the police.

Around 10:15 pm, the police were called to the intersection of East Oates Road and Miami Drive. Upon arriving, the police found two adolescent victims on the road. The 14 -year -old was declared dead at the scene and the 16 -year -old was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The witnesses said they saw a man fleeing the car with a child after the accident and police located a car with extensive damage on the scene.

The officers were able to identify the alleged driver as Stetson Ybarbo, 30, a resident of Rowlett. He was found in a residence in Garland, where the police arrested him and transported him to the Garland prison.

The researchers believe that Ybarbo was accelerating, then deviated from the road and hit the two teenagers, along with several parked cars. Then he fled the scene without helping, the police say.

Ybarbo is accused of two positions of not stopping and helping, one that involves death and the other severe body injury.

Garland police continue to investigate the incident.
