The BUCS player reacts to the former teammate who joins Browns

Tampa Bay Bucaners have really built a brotherhood in the state of the sun. The players on the list have formed deep relationships over the years and there is always a bittersweet feeling when it is time for someone to keep going franchise.

With the beginning of free agency this week, it is just a reality of life that Buccaneers will not be able to retain everyone, especially with the GM Jason Licht trying to place the team for a fifth NFC South championship.

On Tuesday, Tampa Bay saw the external supporter and former first-round selection, Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, signs a one year/$ 4.5 million contract with the Cleveland Browns. After four years with the Buccaneers, Tryon-Shoyinka will use a new uniform for the first time in his professional career when the NFL season begins next autumn.

Shortly after the news of Tryon-Shoyinka’s firm began to get public, a member of the Buccaneers sent a message to his now former teammate.

The external supporter Yaya Diaby played with Tryon-Shoyinka during the last two seasons. Diaby is looking forward to Cleveland.

“Partner in the crime … Go to be great!” Diaby wrote on Instagram.

In four years with the Buccaneers, Tryon-Shoyinka appeared in 66 games, making 45 openings. Totalized 138 tacle, 21 cups for loss, 15 captures, two forced loose balls, a loose ball recovery and eight pass deviations.

Tampa Bay recently signed Haason Reddick to help reinforce his edge route, which probably led Tryon-Shoyinka to move on.

The Buccaneers will look for Diaby to continue their ascension in 2025. He was appointed defensive player of the NFC week after an performance in the victory of Tampa Bay week against the New Orleans Saints last season, where he totaled five cup, four tacle for loss and a sack.

During the 2024 season, Diaby began in the 17 games, registering 54 tacle, 13 cups for loss, 4.5 captures, a forced loose ball and a loose ball recovery. He achieved 7.5 captures as a rookie and his numbers of passes continued to increase last year.
