Homeless woman killed in a clash near the abandoned service station in JB

Johor Baru: Two people died and another seriously injured in traffic accidents separated in Johor Baru during the weekend.

Johor Baru South Oct Asst Comm Raub Selamat said the first accident occurred around 4 in the morning on Sunday (March 9) at an abandoned service station in Jalan Permas Utara.

“A 50 -year -old local man was driving a bus from Taman Permas Jaya to Bakar Batu when a woman, who believed he had no home and about 30 years, suddenly crossed the road.

“The driver could not avoid it, and was fatally beaten. The victim was declared dead on the scene,” he said in a statement on Sunday (March 9).

In a separate case, ACP Raub said a motorcyclist was killed while his rider’s brush was seriously injured in an accident on Jalan Abad, Taman Abad, around 3 am on Saturday (March 8).

“The 24 -year -old local pilot and his 41 -year -old friend lost control of the motorcycle while sailing through a curve.

“The vehicle deviated to the right side of the road and crashed into a lamppost post, throwing both men on the road.

“The motorcyclist suffered serious head injuries and was declared dead on the scene, while the pilot suffered head injuries and was urgently transferred to the Sultanah Aminah hospital to receive treatment,” he said.

Both cases are being investigated under section 41 (1) of the 1987 road transport law.
