The woman connects with ex on Facebook after 36 years, is ‘terrified’ to hurt

A woman’s love life took an unexpected turn, but now she says she is afraid to hurt.

The 55 -year -old woman wrote in the Headquarters in the United Kingdom MMSNET He recently reconnected with an ex, called Mark, after 36 years. The couple left when they were 17 years old and then committed.

“We had a great connection, it was mutually respectful and the physical relationship was excellent,” he wrote about herself and Mark, and then explained that life happened.

“I lost my dad shortly before we met, I did not continue with my mother, so I left home and lived in (the university) while I studied. Mark was in the forces, and after a year and a half of being parked near me, (he) was sent to Central America,” the woman continued. “I felt so lost when I was. I had friends, but I missed him a lot. We were committed. I think with him Loss of my dadI just couldn’t stand being so sad that Mark was out. ”

Her friends encouraged her to be single while Mark was out, and the woman explained that she decided to finish her relationship by writing a letter. But then, “a couple of months later,” she and Mark “ran into each other.”

“It was very moving. We hugged each other, kissed me on the cheek and we wished for future happiness,” the woman wrote.

“Fast advance 36 years,” said the woman that Mark appeared in the “people who can know” her Facebook and she “sent a brief message as an explosion of the past.”

However, she said that “she panicked and blocked it”, but “a week later, I unlock it and started talking.”

Four months later, the woman explained that she and Mark “send a text message several times a day, and have phone calls and facetime several times a week.” He added that both have feelings for each other, but they have not gone so far as to say “I love you” or “something like that.”

Now, the woman said she and Mark made arrangements to meet in person. His past love, he explained, lives “in another part of Europe” and is flying to where he lives specifically to meet her in a coffee to catch up.

“I am absolutely terrified. I do not know how I will feel when I see it in person, or how it will feel,” the woman wrote, “I feel that this meeting will be or break. After 4 relationships since then, all abusive or not satisfy, I do not trust men. I trust Mark to some extent. Our relationship of the younger years was a very positive experience. I suppose I am terrified of hurting myself.”

In the comments section, many MMSNET users shared positive messages and encouraged the woman before the meeting.

“I connected with someone with whom I used to leave. We hadn’t seen each other for more than 30 years, but we were Facebook friends for a few years. We have been together for almost 3 years and (we are) marry soon, so you never know, you could work,” a person wrote.

Others advised the woman to take away some pressure and only treated her meeting how to meet an old friend.

“None of you are the same teenagers as then. You had a romantic connection, but it was in another life. If something had to solve between you two, you will need to know the adult versions with each other,” said a user.

“I suppose both are single? If so, what is the worst thing that could happen … see and have fun,” added another commentator.
