RESIDENT FAMIL OF BALOHOCH DISCLOUND requires urgent intervention for its safe return

Balochistan (Pakistan), March 8 (ANI): Zulfiqar’s family Ali Marri, resident of the Kohlu district in Baluchistan, has urged authorities and human rights organizations to intervene for their safe recovery after it disappeared from Quetta, as reported by the Baluchistan post.

According to his family, Zulfiqar was kidnapped his shelter in Jan Muhammad Road in Quetta for people not identified in the early hours of February 19, around 4:30 am has been missing since then, the Baluchistan Post reported.

The Baluchistan Post reported that Zulfiqar, who had traveled to Quetta for an entrance and interview at the University of Khuzdar, had stayed in the city for just a few days. Concerned about the security situation in Baluchistan, his family had previously secured his F.SC. Education in Punjab. Described as a brilliant student, Zulfiqar had obtained 90% grades in his registration exams, surpassing the entire District of Dera Ghazi Khan. His school honored him showing his photos and posters at the entrance of the school and throughout Jampur Road, a tribute still visible today.

The family explained that Zulfiqar had reluctantly traveled to Quetta to continue his university admission, preparing for his entry test scheduled for February 23. He had joined an academy and regularly visited a library to study. “How could such a talented student be involved in some illegal activity? He had only been in Quetta for a few days and had spent most of his academic life in Punjab, where strict regulations limited the use and telephone movement in schools and universities,” the family questioned.

The family is deeply distressed by their disappearance, without information about their whereabouts. They have asked human rights authorities and organizations to take quick measures to guarantee Zulfiqar’s safe performance.

The forced disappearances of Baloch individuals in Pakistan have been a persistent and worrying problem, especially in Baluchistan. The Baloch community, advocating greater autonomy and rights, has faced persecution by the State Security Forces, including military and intelligence agencies. (ANI)
