The initial arrests were made after the police recorded a room at the Patty’s Lodge Motel in Canandaigua, New York, it was known that the last place Nordquist was staying.

Nordquist’s mother told Syracuse.com that she left Minnesota for New York in September to meet a woman with whom she had romantically involved after connecting online.

Linda Nordquist said her son was supposed to fly home in October, but decided to stay longer to work in the relationship.
