Cam Skattebo demanded by a former ASS teammate for Golf Carrito 2023 accident

Phoenix (azfamily) – The Arizona state star corridor, CAM Skattebo, is being sued by a former teammate for a golf cart accident that occurred almost two years ago.

In a recently amended civil lawsuit, the former offensive liner of Asu, Mattheos Katergaris and his lawyer, Neil Udulutch, called Skattebo as accused and of the Regent Board of Arizona (ABOR), which supervises the public universities of the State.

The lawsuit comes from an incident that, according to reports, occurred on July 31, 2023, in the Asu Football Practice fields in Tempe. The demand alleges that after the practice of football, Katergaris and another athlete student were in the rear seat of a golf cart owned by the University led by an employee of As.

The golf cart is typically used to take athletes to and from the field of practice.

During the trip, the demand alleges that “Skattebo jumped on the back of the golf cart, which was already at maximum load”, and that “jumped up and down” in the rear of the car. According to the reports, this caused the rear bank to collapse, and the katergares fell from the car.

According to the demand, Katergaris had serious injuries “which gave rise to months of medical care.”

The documents also indicate that the Arizona state football team received instructions on the proper use of golf cars the day before the accident. According to the reports, the team had been told that the weight limit in the rear seat of the car was 600 pounds, and there should be no more than two people in the last row.

A part of the complaint, which was amended in February, affirms that Skattebo’s actions were the “real and immediate cause of the injuries and damages of the plaintiff.” However, the original complaint filed last May blamed the driver for allowing three passengers in the rear bank caused “vehicle structural failure.”

Katergaris is demanding Abo and Skattebo for negligence and seeks more than $ 300,000 in compensation for “past and future medical expenses.”

A previous motion presented by the Katergaris legal team declared that they made efforts to serve Skattebo with the legal paperwork, but they could not locate it in their last known directions in Tempe and its hometown of Río Linda, California. Skattebo has not issued a statement on the lawsuit, however, he participated in the NFL Combine during the weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Katergaris played football at Desert Mountain high school before walk In Asu in 2022.

Skattebo was transferred to Asu from the state of Sacramento in 2023. He had his breakdown season with the Sun Devils in 2024, registering more than 1,700 yards per land and 21 touchdowns.
