Bangladesh deserters – Bangladesh’s government requested the extradition of Sheikh Hasina, but did not receive a response from India: Yunus

The Bangladesh government has issued “formal letters” to India requesting the extradition of the expelled prime minister Sheikh Hasina, but, according to the main advisor Muhammad Yunus, there has been no “official response” of New Delhi. Hasina fled to India on August 5 of last year after a massive protest led by students that resulted in the fall of her Awami League government.

The International Crime Court in Bangladesh issued arrest orders for Hasina and several former officials, accusing them of crimes against humanity and genocide.

Yunus has made it clear that a trial “will be held. Not only against her, but also all the people associated with her: her family members, her clients or associates.” The interim government has reported at least 753 deaths and thousands of injuries during protests, which are described as “crimes against humanity and genocide.”

The efforts to prosecute those responsible are in progress, and Yunus affirms: “We will ensure justice for each murder during the revolution of July of August. The efforts to prosecute those responsible are progressing well, and we will demand that the return of the India of Hasina responsible.” Despite this, Hasina denies all accusations, claiming that she is being politically persecuted.

The Bangladesh government is also looking for Interpol’s assistance to repatriate Hasina and others accused of the alleged crimes.

The interim government accuses Hasina of using security forces to supervise the kidnapping, torture and murder of hundreds of activists. Yunus insists that you will face trial, either in person in Bangladesh or in absence in India, since the government continues its efforts to ensure its return to trial.

The legal affairs advisor Asif Nazrul has reiterated that there have been more than 60 cases of crimes against humanity and genocide against Hasina and the members of his party. He pointed out: very soon a red notice will be issued through Interpol. It doesn’t matter in what part of the world these fugitive fascists hide, they will be returned and responsible in court. ” The determination of the interim government to pursue justice extends beyond the national borders, highlighting the serious nature of the charges against Hasina and their associates. This development marks a significant step in the search for the responsibility and justice of Bangladesh after political agitation.
