As the world’s largest wireless technology fair, Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is full of manufacturers that show their latest devices and inventions.

This year’s stands have sought to surprise visitors with an ultra light humanoid robot, smartphones that change color, smart contact lenses and many more.

‘Space sound’ on telephone calls

The Nokia mobile equipment builder and the Vodafone operator say that their “3D space sound” will offer users “truly immersive audio” in telephone calls, with the person in the line that sounds like they were in the same room.

When current calls use only a unique audio channel to transmit the voice, the new system allows sounds to seem from different directions.

Nicknamed “Video and Immersive Audio Services” (IVAS), Technology requires phones equipped with two microphones.

That combined with the need for a high -speed 5G connection means that technology could take several years to most users.

High fidelity robot

When wearing a black dress, a red jacket and a long brown hair, the ultra -orealist humanoid robot Amira is on display of the Telecommunications operator Emirarati Etisalat.

While they mimic human characteristics with high fidelity, Amira’s movements remain recognizable and unpleasant.

Remote driving

There is no car scarcity connected on the floors in the MWC, but visitors were able to try a vehicle 3,000 kilometers away in Finland in the organizer’s position of the GSMA Congress.

The configuration, nothing more than a wheel and some screens, was created by the firm Estonia Elmo, which has equipped cars with a personalized controller and multiple cameras, along with Nokia.

Chameleonic Smart Telephone

The Realme Chinese manufacturer has developed a smartphone that changes color as the exterior temperature changes.

The body of its 14 Pro line, textured to look like a marine shell, is infused with thermochromic pigments that change blue below 16 degrees Celsius (61 Fahrenheit) or white when it is heated.

The smartphone manufacturer admits that the purely decorative characteristic has a limited useful life.

“The cold -sensitive color change function will gradually lose the effect due to daily use,” says Realme.

Smart contact lenses

Dubai Xpanceo headquarters with the headquarters aims to adapt to intelligent characteristics that include an “extended reality” screen, health monitoring and wireless energy reception in a flexible contact lens.

Demonstrating models in their stand show concept evidence for each of the capacities that co -founder Roman Axelrod says they want to pack in a single prototype device “at the end of 2026”.

For now, the devices are relatively clumsy, with a large metal coil necessary to receive wireless power to illuminate a single pixel in a demonstration lens.

These components would be miniaturized using “two -dimensional materials … just a thick atom,” Axelrod said.

“That is the scientific knowledge that differentiates us.”

Laptop with solar energy

PC Lenovo’s Chinese builder has built Solar panels on the cover of your yoga solar laptop to extend the battery life.

It is 84 Solar cells They are able to feed the power in the device even when they are not exposed to direct sunlight, says Lenovo.

Laptops will be equipped with an energy monitoring system to administer when the solar panel enters into play.

“This innovation allows the solar panel to absorb and turn sufficient direct sunlight into 20 minutes to feed up to an hour of video playback on the PC,” Lenovo said.

“Cat Eye” to detect cataracts

The Spanish mobile operator Telefonica has joined forces with the Startup Edgendria innovation to build its “Cat Eye” tool.

Users can carry out an ophthalmological examination in themselves to determine if they have a cataract serious enough to require surgical intervention.

A simple photo of each eye is stirred through an AI platform to detect the ailment.

This means that doctors can “delegate certain tasks to their team so that they can intervene at the right time, making a better use of their time,” said Telefonica.
