Sacrifice and detail attention promotes Spud Kings through an impressive regular season – LocalNews8.com

Idaho Falls, Idaho (Kifi) – With two remaining games in the regular season, the Idaho Falls Spud Kings are one of the best teams in the entire National Collegiate Development Conference, and they are the best team in the Mountain Division, which secured the championship of the division of the mountain of the regular season.

I updated the Spud Kings assistant coach Joey Strada, to talk to him about how he goes to the team with the regular season at the exit and the playoffs on the horizon.

“… we achieved the division and we have succeeded almost all year,” said Strada, “but I mean, the way these guys work and the way they buy in the systems, I mean, anything is possible for these types.”

The Spud Kings are third in the entire NCDC at points, with 79, and have talent full of their list. His alignment has two of the best scorers in the NCDC, Easton Edwards with 63 and Andrew Schmidt with 61. They have obtained a star goal. Charlie Durkin occupies the second place in goals allowed the average, first in victories, first in bleached, and is among the top 10 in savings percentage.

The Strada coach told me that they are the sacrifices that the whole team has done, which has really put this team in a great position.

“I think … what these guys are willing to sacrifice all year, being far from their family, being away from their home, in their city, is a great sacrifice,” he said. “It is the most important time of the year. So I think that sacrificing everything through the playoffs, just going through the alignment, teammate, teammate, teammate, doing it for the guy in front of you. I think … that is the best way to win a championship.”

The search for the Spud Kings for its first Dineen Cup championship begins at Montain America Center on Thursday, March 27.
