Transfer news LIVE: Kyle Walker to Inter Milan LATEST, Arsenal ‘eyeing Rashford’, PSG ‘approaching Kvaratskhelia’

Coming back home

Galatasaray offers Ilkay Gundogan the opportunity to extend his career for two more years.

The Turkish giants, who Gundogan supported as a child, are set to match his £150,000-a-week wages at Manchester City for the next two seasons.

Talks have now begun about a possible move.

Gundogan, 34, is aware he has no chance of landing it at City and a major change of form will be required to trigger even a one-year extension.

italian job

AC Milan must choose between Kyle Walker and Marcus Rashford as a little-known rule prevents them from signing both.

The two English stars have been linked with January loans to the Italian giants.

SunSport understands that Inter Milan are pursuing Walker, and La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that City’s AC are also interested.

But Milan cannot reunite the City full-back and Rashford with the Rossoneri due to Serie A rules.

They only have one place left in their squad for a British player after the change in regulations after Brexit.

The restrictions say Italian teams can only bring two non-EU team members each year, with one additional English or Albanian ace allowed.

make a move

Dortmund have reportedly entered the race to sign Chelsea youngster Carney Chukwuemeka.

Chukwuemeka, 21, was left out of Chelsea’s squad in their 5-0 win over Morecambe yesterday and has not featured at all in the Prem.

The midfielder, who joined from Aston Villa in a deal worth around £20m in 2022, has only appeared five times in the Carabao Cup and Conference League this season.

According to Sky Germany, Chukwuemeka is expected to leave this month.

Kob on ice offer

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has challenged Kobbie Mainoo to prove he deserves a bumper new contract, as Chelsea circle.

Mainoo’s meteoric rise means the England star remains one of the club’s lowest earners.

The midfielder wants a rise of £200,000 a week.

However, the United boss insists Mainoo still needs plenty of polishing, saying: “Kobbie has improved a lot in the last few games.

“But I think you guys feel like he’s the finished product, he’s not.

“It’s really good, but it can be a lot better. It has a lot of potential to grow even more.”

Isak’s eyes

Reports in Spain suggest that Barcelona are desperate to sign Alexander Isak.

The Newcastle striker has been in top form over the last three months, scoring eight goals in his last six games.

Mundo Deportivo claim that Barça are ready to attack the Toon striker, but will only do so if they release enough funds.
