Man and woman shot to death in apparent domestic incident

STREET. TAMMANY PARISH, La. (WVUE) – St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating the shooting deaths of a man and woman found Thursday (Oct. 24) at a Slidell-area home.

Authorities say the incident appears to be domestic in nature.

Around 12:15 p.m., officers responded to a welfare check request from a concerned family member at a residence on William Drive in the Bel Aire subdivision near Slidell. Upon entering the home, officers discovered a deceased man and woman, both with apparent gunshot wounds.

The bodies were turned over to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office for identification and confirmation of the official cause of death.

The sheriff’s office says there is no ongoing threat to the public.
