Prison but not accused: Cleveland’s practice poses fundamental concerns of justice, experts say.

Cleveland, Ohio – approximately one in seven people arrested last year by the Cleveland Police and registered in the Cuyahoga Count prison was released without being accused, according to the data.

The city officers placed the people in the installation and then release them without charges at a much higher rate than any other agency to apply the law in the county. The problem is in the heart of a city county dispute and that experts say that it raises deeper concerns about criminal justice in the northeast of Ohio.
