A seriously injured person after Linn Co. Crash

Springville, Iowa (KCRG) – A person is seriously injured after a two vehicle accident on Highway 151 and Springville Road on Thursday.

At approximately 12:11 pm, emergency staff responded to the scene of a car accident in Springville.

According to the Linn County Sheriff’s office, a jeep drove west on Highway 151 when a Kia Spectra stopped in front of the other vehicle.

Both cars entered the trench northwest of the intersection.

The drivers of the vehicles were trapped inside their cars after the accident.

Emergency responders were able to get both individuals out of their cars. A person was transported by helicopter after suffering serious injuries. The other person involved in the accident was transported by ambulance due to injuries that did not enhance life.
