The BBC star Amanda Mealing admitted drug driving after a collision that left a seriously injured nurse. Known for his role as Connie Beauchamp in Casualty and Holby City, the food deviated from the road and crashed with Mark Le Sage’s car while heading to work.

Prosecutor Marie Stace told La Court that Mealing, 57, who appeared under her marriage name by Amanda Sainsbury, suffered a head cut, a broken doll and a broken clavicle in the January 2024 accident.

The actress admitted to having conducted under the influence of cocaine and driving without due care and attention. The court heard that the food had 18 mcg of cocaine in its blood, exceeding the legal limit of 10 mcg.

He has been forbidden to drive for 22 months and was ordered to pay £ 485 in fines.

The court also determined that the food also exceeded the 240 mcg of benzoilecgonine, which is the chemist that cocaine leaves after being metabolized in the body. This is almost five times above the legal limit of 50 mcg.

Le Sage described listening to ‘an explosion’ and felt that his car was beginning to ‘turn’. His Skoda was hit by Mini Cooper de Comening at A1175 in Hope Pole, near Stamford in Lincolnshire, reports The mirror.

Prosecutor Mrs. Stace revealed: ‘He began to panic, the car was full of smoke and could not come out because her foot was trapped under the pedal. He managed to escape and a paramedic who evaluated him said he needed to go to the hospital. There was a witness after the Mini, who said he assumed that there was something on the road because he left the other side of the road. “

In a police interview, the food confessed to take cocaine the night before, according to Mrs. Stace. Le Sage, in an impact statement of the victim, read in court, declared that his motor skills have been seriously affected, preventing his work from continuing as a theater nurse.

Enoing’s lawyer Edward Lloyd told the court that the defendant does not accept Le Sage’s story of his wounds, stating that he was not taken to the hospital by ambulance, and there is no evidence of that level of injury.

Lloyd said: “In terms of crime, my client declared himself guilty of driving drugs at the first chance.

“It is something that is deeply ashamed. It is not someone who takes drugs at all. His brother died of drug overdose when he was 18 years old and she says that he should have known it better.”

In 2021, the food reflected the loss of his 32 -year -old brother due to substance abuse. She said her adoptive brother: “He was 14 years older than me, but we were incredibly close.”

Speaking to The Times, she added: “I think I had ventured into drugs when I was a teenager. But it was just an accident. It was a real tragedy for everyone and, yes, it influenced me.

“He reminded me that life can be short and I thought it makes no sense to sit down. Salt and lives every day.”
