1 dead, 2 seriously injured in Barron County accident

A person is dead and two others are seriously injured after an accident on Tuesday in western Wisconsin, according to the Barron County Sheriff’s office.

Around 5:55 am, Barron County authorities say they received a call on a single vehicle accident on 18 1/2 Avenue, south of Barron.

The initial investigations suggest that the vehicle was going south on 18th Street when it left the road at high speed, hit a embankment, turned around and crashed into some trees, authorities say.

The sheriff’s office says that the 34 -year -old woman was driving and the 44 -year -old man who was a passenger in the rear seat suffered serious injuries.

Wilson’s 50 -year -old man, Wisconsin, who was a passenger in the front seat, was declared dead on the scene. His identity has not been released at this time.

The Wisconsin state patrol, the Barron County Sheriff’s Office and Barron’s County Forensic Doctor Office are investigating the accident.
