Bay City House Fire leaves a 74 -year -old man, in critical condition

Bay City, Mi – The day of St. Patrick in Bay City was tarnished by a fire of the house that left a citizen of the sedge wounded seriously injured.

Around 4:30 pm on Monday, March 17, firefighters responded to the structure fire reported at 600 E. White St. on the western side of the city. It was reported that a 74 -year -old male resident was still inside the two -story house.

The smoke separated from the superior history when the crews arrived. The firefighters entered the house and found the man near the main door. They took him out of the house and handed it to Medstar ambulance staff.

The crews climbed to the roof and opened a section, at which time the flames exploded. They poured water over the fire and extinguished it.

The injured man was transferred to Hurley Medical Center in Flint, where he remains in critical condition as of Tuesday, March 18, March 18, according to officials.

No other civilian or firefighters were injured. Researchers are working to determine the origins of the fire.

Bangor, Monitor and Portsmouth Townships firefighters helped firefighters in the city of Bay.

The Department of Public Security of the City of Bay received assistance from the Fire Department of the Municipality of Bangor, the Fire Department of the Municipality of Monitor, the Fire Department of the Municipality of Portsmouth and the Medstar ambulance.
