Two arrested after firing the Auckland bar

Police arrested two people in relation to a shooting at an Auckland bar earlier this year.

A man was seriously injured In a bar in Dunrobin Place in Highland Park after three men entered the bar and assaulted it on January 16.

Then, the man was shot and taken to the hospital with a “serious shot injury,” police said.

Police said Tuesday that a 32 -year -old man and a 23 -year -old man were arrested and accused.

“After extensive investigations of our team, two people have been accused of injuries with the intention of causing serious bodily damage and are currently before the court,” said Senior Sergeant Dean Dean Batey.

The 32 -year -old man has been arrested and will reappear in the Manukau district court on June 6 accused of wounds with the intention of causing serious bodily damage.

The 23 -year -old man, accused of hurting with the intention of causing serious bodily damage and illegal possession of a firearm, will reappear in the Manukau district court on April 11.

“Although we knew that those involved in this incident were known to each other, there is no doubt that the incident would have been deeply worrying for people who live close,” said Batey, said

“The police take these matters extremely serious and will continue their work to hold people responsible.”
