Ohio’s wife begs $ 1.5 million in Medicaid fraud after ‘months in the LAM’

Columbus, Ohio – a Dayton woman who stole $ 1.5 million from Medicaid and spent “months at the LAM” declared himself guilty on Monday, according to Ohio Dave Yost attorney.

Janay Corbitt, 36, declared himself guilty of theft of serious crime of second grade and three serious crimes of identity fraud in the Common Court of Common of Franklin County.

According to Yost’s office, Corbitt created two simulated behavioral health advice. Then he stole the identities of several licensed directors and used his information for Bill Medicaid for the services that were never provided.

“His luck has been exhausted,” said Yost. “Congratulations to our Medicaid fraud control unit for bringing this scheme to light.”

This was not Corbitt’s first condemnation for the theft of Medicaid.

He was forbidden to work as a supplier of Medicaid in 2019 and was ordered to pay more than $ 200,000 to the program.

Cleveland.com communicated with Corbitt’s lawyer to comment.

The Corbitt sentence is scheduled for April 17.
