Sexual aggression of UWM Kenilworth apartments; The plea agreement reached

Brendan Hoover, one of the two men accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside a housing center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in February 2024, declared himself guilty on Monday, March 17 at a charge of sexual aggression in third degree.

A second position of second -degree sexual assault was dismissed and read in the Judicial Registry with the end of the sentence.

Hoover is scheduled to be sentenced on August 15.

According to a criminal complaint, the victim reported sexual aggression to UWM Campus Police the day after it happened. He said he left the work on Friday night, on February 2, 2024 and went to a bar to meet a friend, and the last thing he remembered after talking with Hoover at the bar woke up on Saturday in a room in Kenilworth Square’s apartments of the University.

According to the complaint, the victim said that Hoover and a man who did not know, since he identified himself as Parker, were in the room with her. It was then that he said that Hoover related a series of events that occurred the night before, including the sexual relations that the victim told the police that he did not consented.

After leaving Kenilworth Square’s apartments, the complaint establishes that the victim reported vaginal pain, and was dizzy, nausea and had a headache. She went to a hospital to receive an exam of sexual assault.

The police reviewed bar surveillance and the surrounding area. He showed Hoot, Parker and the victim leave the bar together.

Hoover then told the researchers, according to the complaint, that he met Parker at the bar last night. He told the Police that he had sex agreed with the victim, and although Parker also had sex with the victim, he did not know if Parker received the consent. Prosecutors said Parker declined to make a statement.

What follows?

Parker is still going through the judicial process. A trial date is now established for August 4.
