Da wants action against Johannesburg MMC who made fun of the Jewish councilor with comments from Hitler

Johannesburg – The Democratic Alliance (DA) wants measures against a MMC of Johannesburg who mocked a Jewish councilor, saying that he planned to wear a shirt with an image of Adolf Hitler.

In a recent meeting of the Council, the MMC for community development Tebogo Nkounkou was put into account with councilman David Schay with a hat with David’s star.

David’s star is a widely recognized hexagram as a symbol that represents Jewish identity or Judaism.

The day in Johannesburg accused the councilor of the Patriotic Alliance (PA) Tebogo Nkounkou of religious intolerance.

At a recent meeting of the Council, Nkounkou interrupted Schay’s speech to make these comments.

“Lady speaker, I want clarity. If so, I will also come with a skiba (shirt), with a shirt with Hitler’s face. Hitler, do you know Hitler? And our flag. So I will do it because you allowed this to happen. I will come here with Hitler’s face because these people are killing innocent children and women. This is a terrorist, illegal.”

Adolph Hitler was a dictator of Nazi Germany and was responsible for the Holocaust, who saw millions of Jews killed under his orders.

The day in Johannesburg said he had informed Nkounkou to the city’s ethics committee and was considering file a complaint against him in the Human Rights Commission of SA.
