Trump signs the order to cut personnel in Voice of America and other media organizations financed by the United States

The administration of President Donald Trump on Saturday began making deep cuts to Voice of America and another prodemocratic program administered by the Government while the president continued his campaign to restructure the government No approval of the Congress.

Combined, the networks reach about 427 million people. They date back to the Cold War and are part of a network of organizations financed by the Government that attempt to extend the power of the United States and combat authoritarianism that includes USAID, another agency aimed at Trump.

The latest reductions are especially provocative because the Global Media Agency is an alrocant independent agency for Congress, which approved a law in 2020 that limits the power of executives appointed by the presence of the agency.
