The seven -time champion of Formula One, Lewis Hamilton, continued his warm beginning of life in Ferrari while describing the eighth in the Australia Opening Grand Prix of the season on Saturday behind his teammate Charles Leclerc.

Lando Norris de McLaren resumed from where he left last season to overcome the qualification schedules, while his teammate Oscar Piastri completed a 1-2 ending in the grades, before the four times defending champion Max Verstappen in his Red Bull, which arrived in third place. George Russell registered the fourth faster, while Yuki Tsunoda and Alex Albon will begin the race in Austin Park in P5 and P6, respectively.

The sun rose in Saturday’s qualification, but the time forecasts predict showers on Sunday and Hamilton said he had to study how his new car would react to the wet track.

“Tomorrow will be a challenge. I have never driven this car in the rain, “said Hamilton.

“I don’t even know the rain settings, so I have to go study it tonight. It will be a learning experience again, “said the 40 -year -old man.

Hamilton reflected on his initial days in the legendary Italian car manufacturer and said he was looking for ways to maximize the rhythm.

“I had a great time today. Everything has been the first this weekend, “he said.

“To be so close in my first qualification session, I would definitely take it. We will simply lower our heads and start working, trying to find out why we are not in the rhythm of the favorites, “said the British.

Leclerc, on the other hand, was much less diplomatic and pointed out the lack of rhythm in the day and suggested that Prancing’s horse should solve the balance of the car and before the main race.

“The return was not great, in general, we simply did not have the pace today,” Leclerc said.

“We mainly fight with the balance of the car and gather everything, so we have some work to do,” added Monegase.
