Hamilton has the task of wet weather for Ferrari

Melbourne: Lewis Hamilton will burn midnight oil to learn Ferrari’s rain configuration with the wet weather forecast for the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday, since the British continues at the speed with his new team.

The season opening race in Albert Park will be Hamilton’s first for the glamor team after winning its seven titles with McLaren and Mercedes.

The 40 -year -old fought for rhythm during the three practice sessions and described only eighth, a place behind his teammate Charles Leclerc, in abrasor heat in Albert Park on Saturday.

Despite Ferrari’s lack of rating pace, the rain could help them invent the McLarens terrain in the front.

“Tomorrow will be a challenge, I have never led this car in the rain,” Hamilton said.

“I don’t even know the rain settings, so I have to go study that tonight. It will be a learning experience again.”

The waitress of McLaren, Lando Norris, and her teammate Oscar Piastri locked the first row, with the Max Verstappen defense champion third and George Russell de Mercedes.

Hamilton was almost nine tenths behind Norris’s fastest lap, but the world champion of seven times was disappointed by the performance of his car, he hid well.

“I had a great time today. Everything has been the first this weekend,” he said.

“To be so close in my first qualification session, I would definitely take it. We will simply lower our heads and start working, trying to find out why we are not in the rhythm of friends.”

Leclerc was less excited about his car in the final qualification session.

“The return was not great, in general, we simply did not have the pace today,” said the Monegasque driver.

“We mainly fight with the balance of the automobile and put together everything, so we have some work to do.”
