Strange Friday It was one of my favorite films as a child, so when Disney announced a sequel For the 2003 classic, my emotion was through the clouds. Of course, with any restart, there is always the question of whether it will be up to the original. (After all, nothing replicates the charm of those Disney films in the early 2000s). Even so, the movie, ready to reach cinemas this summer, deserves a fair shot.
In the sequel, directed by Nisha Ganatra, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan return as the iconic mother-dash duo, Tess and Anna Coleman. In the 2003 film, the mystical cookies of the Chinese fortune made them exchange bodies, forcing them to experience the life of the others first hand and learn some lessons, such as how high school is much more brutal than it seems (bad girls, pop questionnaires and everything) and nothing is more uncomfortable than floating with their falling in his fall in his mother’s body.

Now, 22 years later, they are back for another body exchange round (only this time, it is even more wild). Anna is now a mother, with a daughter, Harper (Julia Butters), and a future stepdaughter, Lily (Sophia Hammons). Instead of a two -way switch, the sequel raises chaos with a four -way body exchange. Several family faces of the 2003 film are also returning, including Chad Michael Murray, Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong and more.
Now, let’s talk about Teaser’s first advance, which fell on Friday, March 24. Immediately, pay tribute to the original, opening with a fortune teller remembering Tess and Anna that they have changed bodies before, and that the lesson they learned will be useful once again.
At a party, they feel the same earthquake too familiar than before, but Tess ignores it, saying: “I think everything is in our heads.” While Anna wakes up in Harper’s body, he exclaims: “Oh, no! Not again “, but soon they realize that it is not just a two -way exchange: Anna’s daughter and stepdaughter have changed bodies with Tess and Anna.” Everyone is scared, and Lily (in Tess’s body) I shout: ‘My face looks like a Birkin bag that has been left in the sun to rot!’, That, if you ask me, it is an iconic line instantly.
Located in the Pop Hot to Go “anthem of Chappell Roan, the trailer continues with Tess, Anna and the girls trying to go back down (at one time, they try to recreate the classic block of the original film’s body). In the final scene, Murray is rolled on his motorcycle, the helmet is removed and we transport us instantly to his maximum height altillo days in the early 2000s.
In the comments of YouTube of the Trailer, fans praise the sequel to capture the feeling of an older Disney movie, with many especially excited to see Lohan back in his Disney era after his return to act in 2022.
“I will pay my ticket just for Lindsay! You go to the girl! Welcome again to your new Disney era!” A user cheered. “This looks incredible! Honestly, thanks Disney for respecting the original movie! Another fan was excited.
A commentator joked: “A Disney theatrical film that is not a live action adaptation? Is 2007 again? Sign it! “Another spectator added:” Well, this is the first time in a long time when I laughed out loud all the time during a Disney trailer. “
