There are sanctions, pressure on Belarus, Russia is not weakening – Lukashenko – World

Moscow, March 13. /Tass /. The external pressure on Belarus and Russia is not weakening, the sanctions have not disappeared, the Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko, declared at a press conference after a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

“The illegal economic sanctions of several countries have not left. But somehow they have helped us,” he said.

According to Lukashenko, “the pressure on Belarus and Russia is not weakening, although it is already clear for all that these restrictions are reaching the countries that imposed them.”

“But they also gave us the opportunity to think seriously about the perspectives of our development and convinced us that after a certain time we will completely overcome this pressure,” said Belarusian leader.

He added that “if there were no such challenges, they would have to be invented.”

“They made us seriously think about self -sufficiency, the importance of depending on our own strength, food security and technological sovereignty,” Lukashenko said.
