Singapore prosecutors say that the case of American server fraud implies $ 519 million transactions, Singapore News

Prosecutors told a court on Thursday (March 13) that a case in which Singapore -based companies have been accused of fraudulently supplying US servants to Malaysia involves transactions worth US $ 390 million (S $ 519 million).

Three men have been accused of committing fraud against Dell and Super Micro by falsely representing where the servers would end.

Local media have linked the case with the possible transfer of Nvidia artificial intelligence chips to the Chinese firm of the Deepseek.

The United States is investigating if Depseek, whose performance of the AI model shook the technological world in January, has been using prohibited American chips.

The authorities have said that the servers may have NVIDIA chips, but they did not say if the chips were the high -end semiconductors that are subject to the export controls of the United States.

When asked about the possible link with Depseek, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Law, K Shanmugam, said last week that he did not want to speculate.

The three suspects are the Singapurenses Aaron Woon, 41, and Alan Wei, 49, and National Li Ming, 51.

The prosecutors said Thursday that they believe that Wei was paid dividends worth dozens of millions of dollars, while Woon received a bonus of millions.

When asked about the positions, Shashi Nathan, Wei’s lawyer, said he wants to see prosecutors on the value of the alleged fraudulent transactions of Wei.

Li’s lawyer declined to comment and Woon’s lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comments.

The case is part of a broader police investigation in Singapore of 22 individuals and suspicious companies of false representation. Six other people were arrested.

Prosecutors also said Thursday that the police are investigating whether other suppliers are involved in similar cases.

Malaysia is also investigating whether their laws were raped.

Men will appear in court again on May 2.
