Lowell David Silva firefighter accused of child porn, says Da

A Lowell firefighter who allegedly paid girls to send explicit videos of themselves through Snapchat was prosecuted on Tuesday in the Wrentham district court for child pornography and sexual trafficking charges, according to prosecutors and judicial records.

David Silva, 35, from Chelmsford, D in the district court of Wrentham, CQ, where he declared himself innocent from all charges and was released on bail of $ 25,000, according to Norfolk district prosecutor’s spokesman David Linton.

Silva was ordered to avoid the alleged victim and witnesses, not having contact without supervision with minors and staying out of social networks, Linton said in an email.

He is scheduled to return to the Court for a probable cause hearing on April 1, said Lenton.

A criminal complaint filed in the District Court of Wrentham details the accusations against Silva, which involved at least one minor in Millis, a city in Norfolk County.

From at least August to December 2024, Silva allegedly used Snapcat, A social messaging application, to communicate with multiple minor girls, according to judicial records.

The data of a Snapchat account linked to Silva contained more than one hundred photos and videos of minor girls “that perform sexual acts”, show the judicial records.

Within that period of time, eight users reported the Inappropriate Behavior and Harassment Silva account, claiming that he sent explicit images or requested inappropriate content, as shown in the judicial records.

In addition, the data of an avemo account linked to Silva revealed outgoing payments with descriptions that refer to requests for explicit images, according to judicial records.

Police reports also include the testimony of a girl who sent explicit photos of Silva’s Snapchat account in exchange for money, according to records.

Silva’s lawyer, together with the Lowell Fire Department and his union, did not respond to comments requests on Wednesday night.

The investigation is ongoing.
