Seriously injured man in shooting in Pratt Highway in Forestdale

An investigation is being conducted after a man was shot on Wednesday afternoon in Forestdale.

The shooting occurred just before 4 pm in block 1400 of Pratt Highway.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s agents arrived at the scene after receiving a person’s report. The victim was found wounded by shots.

Sheriff’s spokesman Henry Irby said Forestdale Fire and Rescue took the victim to the UAB hospital with injuries that threaten life.
