Motion presented for the psychological evaluation of Ex-Ky. Sheriff accused of murder

Letcer County, Ky. (Wkyt/WyMT) – The prosecutors presented a motion so that the former Letcher Shawn ‘Mickey’ County Sheriff undergoes a psychiatric evaluation.

Stines is accused of the murder of Judge Kevin Mullins.

Judicial presentations show that the Stine defense team plans to use a madness defense.

Prosecutors presented the motion to examine the Tades in the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center in relation to their claim of madness defense and defense team at the time of the incident.

The motion was also presented to evaluate Stines’s statements that he suffers or has suffered a mental illness or condition that he has about the problems of guilt and punishment.

In the letter, he said that the Prosecutor’s Office had no objections to the request for stines that the expert in defense present as an observer during his evaluation in KCPC.
