The fire of the house in Norfolk leaves four displaced, the child seriously injured

Norfolk, Va.-A fire in Norfolk burned a house early Wednesday, leaving four displaced and a seriously injured child, according to Norfolk Fire-Rescue.

Around 1:54 am, the teams responded to a structure fire in Block 8000 of Galveston Boulevard. Norfolk Fire-Rescue says that their responders found a strong smoke and fire on the second floor of the residence, this is where the teams discovered the teenager. The child was transported to a local hospital with injuries that threaten life.

He took crews about 30 minutes to control the fire, according to Norfolk’s fire rescue. An adult and three minors were displaced by this fire.

The fire chief is investigating the cause of the fire and determining whether the Red Cross is necessary for those affected.
