Seriously injured person in the district court of Cambridge

A person was stabbed outside the Cambridge district court in Medford on Monday afternoon, Massachusetts State Police said.

The Medford Police learned of a great fight in front of the Palace of Justice that involved a knife around noon on Monday. A person was stabbed and sustained, but not mortal, the injuries, the state police said in an email.

Five men who believe they were involved in the fight were arrested in the nearby commercial street, police said. Their names were not immediately provided.

It was not clear what led to stabbing or if it had something to do with a judicial procedure scheduled for Monday.
