Christopher Bell scores the third consecutive victory of Nascar of 2025: the highlight of Phoenix

Christopher Bell has hit his foot in the gas to open the 2025 season, and on Sunday at Phoenix Raceway he claimed his third consecutive victory of the young season.

Bell surpassed his Racing teammate by Joe Gibbs, Denny Hamlin and Hendrick Motorsports, Kyle Larson, in the finish line to win the 500 Shriners Children, the second consecutive year, Bell has triumphed in the March race on the Avondale track, Arizona.

Bell, who won two weeks ago in Atlanta and last weekend in Circuit of the Americas, became the first pilot since 2021 to win three consecutive races. Larson achieved the feat twice that season on the way to the Nascar Cup series championship.

Bell also became the first pilot from Kevin Harvick in 2018 to win three of the first four races and the first pilot to win three consecutive in the next generation car, which debuted in 2022

The lonely stain of the Bell season arrived at the opening of the Daytona 500 season, when it ended 31 after caught in a late accident.

The 30 -year -old bell had the dominant car on Sunday in Phoenix, despite starting the 11th. He ran to the first four at the end of the opening stage and then won stage 2. It seemed that Bell would go to La Victoria until his JGR teammate took the precautionary flag with eight remaining turns in the race when Hamlin hit the wall after exploding a tire. That forced Bell to maintain leadership in one more restart, but Hamlin and Larson made him work in recent laps.

“Oh, my God, man,” Bell said after leaving his Toyota No. 20. “It was who could clarify the restart. None of us could. We were running very, very hard there arriving at the line. JGR ran 1-2, how about that?”

Hamlin almost stole the victory of his younger teammate in one of the closest results in the history of Phoenix Raceway, but Bell was able to retain him in 0.049 seconds.

“The 5 (Chevrolet de Larson) really gave me a great thrust in the restart (final) in the restart (final), for the setback,” said Hamlin. “I had a kind of position in 20. I knew I was going to send it there. Obviously we were left without careers there.

“Great final. Great work of the entire Joe Gibbs team to give us some fast cars.”

The victory was the 12th of the Nascar de Bell Cup race, and has already matched its most victories in a season, with three in 2022 and 2024.

Josh Berry, Chris Buescher and William Byron, who won the Daytona 500, completed the first six. Byron also won the opening stage in Phoenix and led the classification of the Cup series entering Sunday’s race.

Nascar in Phoenix – Stage 2

Joey Logano recovered from a penalty in the opening segment to climb to the lead, but finally defended the winner of the Christopher Bell race, who won the stage. Bell had taken the front after the stops in boxes to start stage 2, but Logano roared in the field in the option tire to overcome it. But, in the warges of the segment, the softer logo tire finally began to wear out, and Bell was able to resume leadership and win the stage.

The segment was fogged by a huge multicar accident after a restart in Tour 99. While the drivers fought in the middle of the package until turn 2, a four -width Scrum became too tight, Ty Gibbs began to derive the track, unleashing multiple collisions. The eventual melee destroyed several cars and caused early exits for Riley Herbts, Carson Hocever, Chase Briscoe, Justin Haley, Brad Keselowski, Cole Custer and Shane Van Gisbergen. A handful of other drivers fell multiple laps after repairs, including Michael McDowell and Noah Gragson.
