Mikaela Shiffrin slips from the first race to place the third place in the World Cup Slalom won by Katharina Truppe

Son, Sweden (AP) -Mikaela Shiffrin let a Slalom win on Sunday, but established a World Cup record of all time with its number 156 on a race podium.

Running through the snow that constantly falls with a first race advantage, Shiffrin was only the fastest 25th in the second race to end in third place, 0.19 seconds behind the winning surprise Katharina Truppe.

Katharina Lienberger took second place, behind 0.05 behind her teammate of Austria, whose first victory in the Career World Cup was obtained at 29.

“Katharina day!” Shiffrin said in the completion area while hugging the two runners who defeated her.

The 156 Top-3 of Shiffrin results in his World Cup career that breaks with the great Sueco Stenmark Ingemar. Shiffrin also took the record of victories from all times of Stenmark and now he has 100 at 86.

Shiffrin needed to win the race to win 100 race points and stay in dispute, although with only a small opportunity in the classification, for a ninth Slalom title of the season. Four runs were lost after a serious accident in Slalom Giant in November.
