The man assaults the neighbor through the donkey car

A Umguza man has been fined US $ 300 after being convicted of assaulting a neighbor during a dispute over an overloaded donkey.

Clement Ncube (34) appeared before Bulawayo Magistrate Challenge Mahembe, facing two assault charges. He was sentenced to four months in prison, with the sentence suspended by condition of good behavior.

The court heard that the altercation occurred on the night of November 16, 2024, near Tshabuz Farm, plots at the airport in Umguza. NCUBE, along with his brother Clever, who remains in general, attacked Brian Crowki (45) after a disagreement with respect to an overloaded donkey car.

Ncube, in an anger attack, assaulted Cécheki with a Sjambok and a wooden stick, hitting him several times in his body. Violence did not end there. When Mxolisi Dube (42) reached the scene and tried to intervene, Ncube turned against him, accusing him of witnessing the assault.

The case highlights continuous tensions within rural communities on disputes that involve properties and cattle, which often leads to violent confrontations. Ncube’s conviction serves as a reminder of the legal consequences of resorting to violence to resolve disputes.
