Boulder’s police arrest, accused of seriously injuring a woman in a DUI accident in Footills Parkway

Boulder police arrested a man accused of seriously injuring a woman on Thursday night in a DUI accident in Footills Parkway.

Marico Antonio Arellano-Munoz, 23, was arrested under suspicion of DUI; Vehicular assault – DUI; careless driving causing injuries; driving without a valid license; and the lack of presentation of the insurance test and was scheduled for a judicial hearing on the advice on Friday.

Around 6 pm on Thursday, the officers responded to an accident of three vehicles in the lanes to the south of Footills Parkway between Pearl Parkway and Arapahoe Avenue, according to a press release.

The initial investigation of the accident indicates that a man who was driving a Ford Edge hit a Toyota Corolla, who then hit the vehicle in front of him, a Subaru Impreza, according to the statement. A woman who was driving the Toyota Corolla was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

In addition, the driver and passenger of the Subaru Impreza were also taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries.
