Woman dies, man seriously injured after the accident on Route 258 on Isla of Wight

Wight Island, Va. – A woman died after an accident on Route 258 in Isle of Wight County on Wednesday afternoon, according to Virginia State Police.

The accident occurred around 3:20 pm on the road, south of Bows & Arrows Road, according to the police.

Police say that while heading south on Route 258, the driver of a Honda Civic deviated on the lanes to the north and towards the road of a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro, hitting the vehicle in front.

The woman who was driving was taken to the hospital, where she later died from her wounds, according to the police. The police identified her as Kristin feeling 50 years in Franklin.

The 28 -year -old man who was driving the Camaro was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police added.

While the accident is still under investigation, the police say that the weather and speed were contributing factors in the accident. On Wednesday, most of our area was under a tornado clock and a severe surveillance of electric storms until 8 pm and 6 pm, respectively.

There are no indications that alcohol is a factor, says the police.
