A teenager died tragically after being seriously injured in a busy Glasgow street.

Emergency services ran to Clarendon Street in the West End area of The city late last night.

Dozens of the police and the ambulance teams fasted the area after the alarm was raised around 10.30 pm

The officers received reports from a 15 -year -old man who was found injured in the street.

However, when they arrived, the teenager was tragically declared dead on the scene.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident and have said that the consultations are ongoing.

The force also revealed that death is being treated as suspicious at this time.

Detectives have now launched a human hunt to find the person responsible for the attack.

A spectator told Scottish Sun’s teenagers, fighting in the area before the paramedics ran to the street.

He said: “I looked out the window and I saw a gang of boys in a skirmish.

“There were three or four against two. They were all young children.

“They were running inside and outside the shadows, but one could see each other.

“A couple of boys went to the ground, but they were trying to get up and try.

“There was no way to fall to get involved in any of that.

A man whose floor ignores the sealed street also said that the forensic teams were out all night combing the area.

He said: “The boys of the white costumes were there during the night going through everything.

“I left the house this morning and I couldn’t believe it. Everything was cordoned off and there were officers everywhere. “

The officers have urged anyone with any information to be presented and talk to them.

They are particularly interested in talking with anyone who has door to door or campaign cameras in the area around the time of the attack.

Detective Superintendent Cheryl Kelly said: “Extensive research is being carried out to establish the complete circumstances surrounding this death.

“While formal identification has not yet taken place, we have talked to the child’s family and we will continue to provide specialized support at this distressing moment.

“We have been gathering CCTV images of the surrounding area, which is being reviewed.

“The officers have also been making door -to -door consultations in the local area and will continue to do so.

The force has also said that a great police presence will remain in the area as they carry out their investigations.

Chief Inspector Colin Maclucas, commander of the local area, added: “I understand that residents in the area will be very concerned after this incident.

“However, I can assure you that we are working very closely with our detective colleagues to establish the circumstances.

“I can also assure you that there will continue to be a visible police presence in the area.

“I would urge anyone with questions, concerns or information to approach the officers who are there to help.”
