Young people arrested by the owner of the Exhibition Room of Atacing TVs in Mukkom

Kozhikode: A violent altercation for an accident insurance claim has led to the arrest of a young man in Mukkom, Kozhikode, after he and his accomplices allegedly assaulted the owner of a local television exhibition room. The incident, which occurred on March 1, resulted in serious injuries for the victim, Vattakkandathil Aboobcker Sidheeque (51), including multiple fractures in the hand and leg.

According to police reports, the defendant, identified as Mohammed Althaf of Mukkom, along with four others, attacked Sidheeque after an argument on the delayed processing of an accident insurance claim.

Sidheeque alleged that Althaf entered his cabin in the exhibition room and hit him with a Pisapapeles before attacking his leg. The gang attacked him outside, worsening his wounds.

After the incident, the Judicial Court of Judicial Class Thamarassery sent Althaf in judicial custody. Meanwhile, Mukkom’s police have also booked Sidheeque based on a complaint filed by Althaf, who accused the owner of the exhibition hall of assaulting him within the facilities.

The Pradeep KC Subspector, who directs the investigation, confirmed that the police have registered a non -financial case against Sidheeque, while Althaf has been reserved under section 118 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for causing serious injuries, after the medical confirmation of multiple fractures.

The case remains under investigation as the authorities examine conflict claims and meet more evidence related to violent altercation.
