The British woman calls the deranged act of the Australians before Ciclón Alfred: “Do not seem to take it seriously”

A British traveler has called some “deranged” Australians for how they are responding to the cyclone that is approaching.

Raxu, a solo traveler who visits Australia, questioned the attitude of some people towards the imminent climate event, in a video posted on social networks.

He was surprised to see the surfers who are going to the dangerous waters despite the severe climate.

“Tell me why there is a cyclone about to hit the golden coast and the surfing of all,” he said.

‘They are saying that the waves are good, they say that surf is good, they say the waves are good, but there is literally a cyclone that is presented to him.

‘Everyone has been told to stay and evacuate, but they don’t seem to be taken seriously.

They are a bit deranged. I would not be surfing, brother.

‘The Australians confuse me’.

Another said: “We believe that everything is fun until it is.”

A third said: ‘It is only the Australian form. Everything is a joke, until it is no longer a joke, I hope this helps.

Cyclone Alfred, a category two system is expected to affect the southeast of Queensland between Brisbane and Gold Coast, crossing the coast on Saturday.

The system has registered winds of up to 90 km/h in its center and bursts of 130 km/h.

It is forecast that it will bring a total of daily rains between 200 mm and 400 mm from Thursday to Saturday, which probably leads to ‘potentially mortal’ floods.

The Cyclone Warning Zone includes Double Point Island, Queensland to Grafton, NSW, with Brisbane, the Golden Coast and the interior to copy the worst part of the strong winds.

The arrival of the cyclone will coincide with a high tide in Queensland, possibly affecting 20,000 properties in Brisbane, almost 5000 in Sunshine Coast and 6000 in Gold Coast.

The assistance of the Australian Defense Force has been activated with helicopters deployed in Bundaberg and Coffs Harbor.
