Member of the Aria Brotherhood accused of trying to kill guards, but is already fulfilling the double life

Sacramento – An imprisoned man from West against Costa already sentenced to two prison sentences for life faces a third mandate for life, this time for charges of murder attempt after he allegedly took a knife to the state guards of the prison, according to judicial records and a lawyer familiar with the case.

The leader of the prison gang of the Aria Brotherhood, Ronald Dean, Yandell, had no chance of abandoning the prison, but Sacramento County officials now seem ready to make the question of how many terms of life a man can serve the test.

The prosecutors have accused Yandell, a leader of the Pandilla of the prison of the white supremacist, with an attempt to murder, derived from when he allegedly took a knife from two state correctional officers in a prison last year, according to the records and the lawyer.

Yandell faces life if it is convicted, but there is not much more than the legal system can do it. In 2004, he was sentenced to life imprisonment in a state prison for killing two men in Mother’s Day shooting in 2001 in the leftover. Last December, he was sentenced to life imprisonment in a federal prison and challenging at the hearing he told the judge: “I’m still standing.”

In 1987, he and two other men were accused of stabbing another inmate more than 15 times during a fight in a tracy prison. Yandell exceeded that case by arguing self -defense, according to judicial records. The two subsequent life cases were against him.

Last year, prosecutors convinced a jury that Yandell was a member of the high -ranking Brotherhood that had ordered murders in prison and helped lead a contraband ring in prison in California. While waiting for a formal sentence, a California corrections officer in the state prison, Sacramento’s guard allegedly injured a handcuffed Yandell. His lawyer says that the officer knocked on Yandell and lost several teeth and wounded his spine.

Then, in November, Yandell allegedly released a rod from prison on two guards during a medical transport in the same prison. Since then, it has been transferred to Folsom’s state prison and has placed in administrative segregation, according to records.

Despite all federal charges against him, a place that Yandell has not fulfilled time is a federal prison.

Since last year, Yandell and five other members of the Aria Brotherhood have been convicted or declared themselves guilty of extortion murder charges that lead to a federal life imprisonment. Every but one has received that prayer, and the sixth man will probably do so in the coming weeks.

But none of them has been transferred to the federal prison, not even “two first” Daniel, a native of Sacramento who says he really wants to leave behind the “corruption” of the state prison system and go to “the federals.”

Daniel, Yandell and the other four are already fulfilling life in the state prison. When they were accused in 2019, prosecutors said they started the case to take them to the Federal Prison Office, eliminating them from a state prison system where, according to reports, there are influence on other white inmates and can access the cell phones of smuggling with ease, a potentially dangerous combination.

Instead, Yandell will probably see the interior of a superior court in Sacramento before he ends in a federal cell, if he ever. Its reading positions has been scheduled for April 25.
