“Really, you don’t push me, it makes no sense … the isolation of sound here is very good,” those are the terrifying words of the Zhenhao Zou rapter to one of his victims.

Now it is believed that the former doctoral student could have up to 60 victims after images of numerous unidentified women attacked were found.

Prosecutors say it seemed to be an “intelligent and charming young man” of a rich family, but hid a secret life as a “sexual predator, a voyeur and a rapist.”

The officers discovered almost 1,300 videos, but Zou insisted that the sex represented was consensual.

The 28 -year -old said he had the “habit” of taking photos during sex and told the jury that he liked the “rape role game” and pornography involving sleeping women.

He told court: “I like it because the girl seems to be still and calm when they have sex.”

Prosecutors said women in their videos seemed unconscious, and several powerful tranquilizer drugs were found in Zou’s house.

On Wednesday, after a trial inside the London crown, Zou was convicted of 11 charges of rape against 10 different women.

However, only two of its victims, one of which was the victim in two positions, have been identified so far. The other eight victims are not yet traced.

Now a great effort is being made to identify other women seen in Zou’s videos, in what the police say that it has become the largest investigation of current violation in the United Kingdom.

Police believe there could be another 50 additional victims, with about half of the incidents investigated by the agents that were believed to take place in this country and the other half in China.

Now we can also inform that, during the course of the trial, a woman appeared to the police who claimed to be a victim of Zou.

Zou’s prolific offense could never have been discovered if it were not for the courage of one of his victims to lift the phone and call the police.

The trial heard that the woman was raped while she was “drunk and unconscious” in her floor in the elephant and London Castle in May 2023.

Zou filmed the attack and took intimate images without his knowledge using a small camera next to the bed.

The woman said she was drunk and that she had tried to leave, but that Zou dragged her back and pushed her to consume vodka.

She said she had told her that she would stay if he transferred his 100,000 in Chinese currency, but did not give her permission to have sex with her.

When the two sent a message later, Zou said: “I had too much to drink and did something wrong, can we discuss this later?”

She replied: “You should feel guilty for what you did.”

Crucially, the woman published about her terrible experience in Chinese social media applications Littleredbook and Wechat, which caused someone else to present with a similar experience.

The woman said she had woken up to find the former doctoral student who raped her. She said it happened while she was “unconscious” after going to drink for four or five hours with friends in the Chinese neighborhood of London.

‘Zou Box Trophy’

After Zou’s arrest on January 25, 2024, the Police seized cameras and memory cards from his house, as well as his phone.

They were surprised by what they found. He had filmed nine of the women he raped, in addition to taking intimate photos.

Zou also maintained a box of articles, which according to him was “lost property”, but the Prosecutor’s Office said it was a “trophy box” of articles belonging to its victims.

Police believe that one of the attacks by Zou occurred in their accommodation for Woburn Place Ucl students, at some point between September 2019 and September 2020.

The evidence was found in a camera in a box on its floor. In the recording, you can hear the woman say: “I really don’t want … I beg you, don’t do this.”

Zou replies: “Really, you don’t push me, it makes no sense … it is not the first time we have done it. This is the second time … the sound isolation here is very good.”

The police also found multiple 500 ml bottles of butanodiol on the zou floor.

Toxicologist John Slaughter told Crown Court in London that he becomes GHB, typically known as the drug of “rape of the date”, if swallowed.

Zou said that butnodiol was for a moisturizer.

The jury did not agree and condemned him for 11 positions of rape, with two of the crimes related to a victim.

Zou was also convicted of three voyeurism positions, 10 possession of an extreme pornographic image, one of false imprisonment and three possession of a controlled drug with the intention of committing a sexual crime, that is, butanodiol.

He was authorized of two additional positions of possession of an extreme pornographic image, and five positions of possession of controlled drugs to commit a sexual crime, namely, a position that involves MDMA, three involving Ketamine and one from Alprazolam.

‘Dangerous Sexual Predator’

The Metropolitan Police said that the testimony of the two victims was crucial to give context to the videos, since many victims seem to be sleeping or unknown to what is happening.

They are now trying to identify their other victims with the cooperation of the Chinese authorities.

As part of its appeal, there is an important incident tool that, for the first time, has the language translation option.

In particular, they want to communicate with the Chinese community, and the police believe there will be more evidence in the future.

Commander Kevin Southworth, led by public protection in the Metropolitan Police, said: “Zhenhao Zou is a dangerous and prolific sexual predator, which manipulated and drugged women to take advantage of them in the most cowardly way.”

“I would like to recognize the two women who bravely gave evidence against Zou in the Court, their courage and resilience have been unwavering.

“We are determined to support all the fodder of victims and now we are asking women who believe they can have concerns about Zou that are presented.”
