A man from Camden County was sentenced to six years in prison and was ordered to pay millions in restitution for his role in conspiracy of Adjust a Bucks County Warehouse on FlamesFederal prosecutors said in Philadelphia on Monday.

Duka recruited two men to help set fire to a warehouse in 1388 Bridgewater Road in Bensalem, Pennsylvania and paid $ 15,000 to do so, authorities said.

He met the men in New Jersey on several occasions and asked them to set fire to the building for the owner who said he was a friend, according to the federal accusation.

The authorities said Duka told men that the owner of the building wanted to raise money from the fire insurance and provide a key to the warehouse, according to the accusation.

On December 10, 2022, one of the men agreed to the building and lit multiple fires inside the warehouse, according to the accusation. A firefighter was injured while fighting the fire after a ladder collapsed, according to the officials.

The damages totaled almost $ 6 million.

In addition to the prison sentence, Duka was ordered to pay $ 6.1 million in restitution and spend three years in supervised release.

The warehouse was being leased at the time of the fire for a Internet -based book business that stored books and other articles in the location, according to judicial documents.

A Duka lawyer did not immediately return a request for comments.
